Snetterton Race Report

27th April 2003

Fresh engine and looking forward to return to Snetterton. Kept a lid on the Adnams consumption and was ready for Sunday qualifying. Gentle start to session but straight away realised there was a problem. Completed a lap before engine cut out. Thanks to Mark Hammersley and his team, plus the generous loan of tools from many others, we managed to get running again, to start at the back of the 'B', next to Gordon, who had a clutch failure early in qualifying. Got away well, but the gremlins returned almost immediately, so all the places gained were quickly lost. Read the paper and nursed the car, by the time I was lapped Gordon was already leading.
